NH National Guard Tuition Waiver Program
- Admitted to a degree program
- Must have completed the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
- Completion of Advanced Individual Training or Commissioning
- Active member of the NH National Guard
- Payment covers "tuition only" (not fees) and is treated as an exemption (waiver)

Veterans Tuition Assistance Program
- Student must complete an on-line application
- An approved 2171E Form is submitted to NHTI signed by the student's Commanding Officer (the approved 2171E form is either brought in by soldier or emailed to the Bursar's Office by the Commanding Officer)
- Non-matriculated or matriculated status
- Must be approved prior to enrollment
- Payment is treated as third party billing
- Paid upon receipt of a satisfactory grade report from NHTI

Veterans Assistance Programs
Montgomery GI Bill (Chapter 30, 1606, 1607)
- Admitted to a degree program (2 semesters as non-matriculated student)
- Student must have a NOBE (DD2384) Notice of Basic Eligibility (verified and signed by the State Montgomery GI Bill Manager--Guard or Reserve Unit)
- First time applying for MGIB benefits-complete a VA Form 22-1990 (process by mail or electronically)
- Supply discharge papers DD-214 if soldier has been discharged
- Student must verify enrollment no earlier than the last day of each month and on the last date of the semester enrolled in the College
- Monthly payment is to be treated as reimbursement to the student
- Payment--Student must pay up front, use FACTS payment plan, or be awarded financial aid that will cover bill
- Suggest student also apply for financial aid

Dependent of a deceased or disabled Veteran (Chapter 35)
- Admitted to a degree program (2 semesters as non-matriculated student)
- First time applying for dependent benefits-complete a VA Form 22-5490 (process by mail or electronically)
- Need Veterans File Number (or social security number)
- Monthly payment is to be treated as reimbursement to the student
- Payment--Student must pay up front, use FACTS payment plan, or be awarded financial aid that will cover bill
- Suggest student also apply for financial aid

Vocational Rehabilitation Program (Chapter 31)
- Disabled Veteran (training for workforce re-entry-covers tuition, fees, books, basic supplies and small stipend)
- Approved by the Manchester VA Vocational Rehabilitation Office
- Form 28-1905 will be completed by Certifying Official at NHTI
- Payment is treated as third party billing approved by the Manchester Office

New VA Scholarship to Expand VA Educational Opportunities
The Fund for Veterans' Education was established to provide scholarships to Veterans from all branches of the United States Armed Forces who served in Afghanistan or Iraq since September 11, 2001 and who are now enrolled in college or vocational-technical school.
