We are delighted that you have chosen us for your preventive services. At NHTI, we are committed to providing you with the best client-centered treatment possible, while providing our students with an excellent teaching experience. Our students have been educated and evaluated to laboratory and clinical competency prior to treating patients in clinic. Students are closely supervised and evaluated as patient assessment and treatment progresses. Instructors are licensed dental hygienists with advanced degrees, or our staff dentist.

If you are a new client, please inform us of any medical condition that might interfere with your dental treatment, or any medications that you are taking. During your first appointment, a thorough health history is taken, a brief oral examination is performed, as well as a periodontal screening. Radiographs (x-rays) may be taken at this appointment if necessary.

Good home care is an important component to preventive dental health. Our students are trained in client education and are expected to review home care techniques with you. We will try to work our appointments around your schedule. Our students depend on your cooperation and participation.
